Following six-months of renovation work, the iconic Deluxe Bingo hall in Hastings has reopened to the public. Located on Pelham Place, the bingo hall held a celebratory opening party on Saturday, June 21.

Those who attended had the chance to enjoy live music, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and two bingo sessions, each of which saw two winners claim £1,000 jackpots. Guests enjoyed music performed by the Beachy Head Brass Band, and complimentary welcome drinks were served. A town crier from Renaissance Faire UK greeted visitors while other troupe members handed out flyers along the seafront.

While the buzz of a physical hall brings its own charm, Deluxe Bingo Hastings also reminds players that many fans are now discovering the convenience of playing through online bingo sites, which offer similar thrills with added flexibility from home or on the go.

A Commitment to the Local Community

Two ceremonial ribbon-cuttings marked the occasion, attended by the Mayor of Hastings, Councillor Becca Horn, alongside Helena Dollimore, MP for Hastings and Rye. A cheque-presentation ceremony also took place with Deluxe Bingo Hastings pledging to raise Ā£10,000 for St Michael’s Hospice over the coming year, beginning with an immediate Ā£1,000 donation.

Jeremy Godden, director at Godden Gaming Organisation, said:

ā€œThe grand opening has gone fantastically well. We’ve been very pleased with all the comments from all our lovely customers – we’ve had two Ā£1,000 jackpot winners who have gone home very happy.

The turnout’s been fantastic and it’s wonderful to see this venue full of energy and excitement once again. Deluxe Hastings has always had a special place in the community. There’s so much history in this building, but it’s the people who bring it to life – our team, our customers, and all those who supported us in making this opening possible. This launch is just the beginning – and we’re excited about everything still to come.ā€

Originally opened in 1910 as a cinema, the building has been a feature of the Hastings seafront for over a century. It was converted into a bingo hall in the 1960s and recently received a full interior refurbishment designed to modernise while retaining its historical charm.

Ileana Danescu, general manager of Deluxe Bingo Hastings, added:

ā€œI feel very excited and so thrilled to welcome everybody back to the bingo club. I’m so happy to be here with you and I’m looking forward to working with everyone.ā€

As part of its commitment to the community, Deluxe Bingo has also launched a charity initiative. Anytime a player calls a full house on the number 90 during a main-stage, non-linked game, the venue will donate £100 to a local charity.

A Packed Schedule of Games and Promotions

Now reopened Deluxe Bingo Hastings will operate Thursday through Monday, with a busy weekly schedule. Afternoon sessions begin with CashPot games and flyers from 12:00 pm, followed by early links at 12:45 pm and the main stage games at 1:30 pm. Evening games run from 6:15 pm through to 9:30 pm.

Each day brings its own promotions and themed events. On Thursday afternoons, players can enjoy a £100 guaranteed prize for the last house, with books priced at £15. Thursday evenings bring a £5 free credit offer for anyone purchasing an electronic Budd-e package. All games include the National Game, Big Link, Early Links, CashPot, and flyers.

Fridays are a highlight, with Friday afternoons offering ten separate Ā£100 prizes for a Ā£23 book, and Friday evenings featuring ā€œSecond Chance Bingoā€, which gives players four extra chances to win.

On Saturday afternoons, every house has a guaranteed £100 prize and books are £25. The excitement continues into the evening with full main-stage games from £23. Sunday evenings feature one of the most generous prize pots of the week, including a £1,000 guaranteed last house and five additional £100 prizes, again for a £25 book.

The fun doesn’t stop at the weekend. Monday afternoons include a Ā£100 last house guarantee, and Monday evenings bring the ā€œCash Climber,ā€ where prize values increase as the game progresses until they reach Ā£100 for full house wins in the later pages of the session.

Deluxe Bingo is also committed to responsible play. Support for self-exclusion is available, and help is provided in partnership with BeGambleAware, ensuring players can enjoy the games in a safe and supportive environment.
