A24 Summer is currently underway at Picturehouse Cinemas, and for bingo fans, the highlight isn’t just the big-screen premieres, it’s the bingo game being run by the organisers. Throughout August, visitors to 25 Picturehouse venues across the UK can collect limited-edition A24 Summer bingo cards for a chance to win exclusive prizes while enjoying the famous studio’s latest films.

The bingo promotion launched on August 1 with 5,000 collectable cards distributed at box offices. Each time a ticket is purchased for a participating A24 Summer film, the holder’s card is stamped. After collecting stamps for five different films, the card holder is entered into a prize draw, which has some fantastic prizes up for grabs. This is a great way to enjoy movies and play your favourite game outside bingo sites.

The grand prize is a VIP West End Picturehouse Membership Plus paired with a $500 gift certificate for A24’s online shop. Two runner-up prizes include the same membership and a curated A24 Summer merchandise bundle. Cards are available only while supplies last or until September 9, and completed cards must be submitted online, by photo or PDF, no later than September 10. Winners will be drawn at random and notified by email on September 15.

Exciting New Releases Throughout August

The bingo game runs alongside a packed screening schedule that began on August 1. The opening day featured two new releases: The Legend of Ochi, a fantasy adventure from director Isaiah Saxon distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors, starring Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson, and Willem Dafoe; and Sony Pictures’ horror Bring Her Back from Danny and Michael Philippou, in which siblings discover a disturbing ritual at their foster mother’s remote home.

On August 13, the lineup continued with Materialists, a romantic drama from writer-director Celine Song. Starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal, the Sony Pictures release follows a New York City matchmaker torn between a seemingly perfect partner and an imperfect ex.

More Releases Still to Come

Three more titles are still to come, giving bingo players plenty of chances to fill their cards. On August 22, Picturehouse Entertainment will debut Sorry, Baby, written, directed by, and starring Eva Victor alongside Naomi Ackie and Lucas Hedges. The story explores how one woman grapples with the aftermath of a deeply unsettling event while those around her seem unaffected. On the same day, Universal will release Ari Aster’s Eddington, a tense drama set in May 2020 about a standoff between a small-town sheriff and the local mayor, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal.

The season closes on August 26 with one of the year’s most anticipated releases, Highest 2 Lowest. Directed by Spike Lee and starring Denzel Washington, Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, and A$AP Rocky, the film is a reimagining of Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low, transplanted to the streets of modern-day New York. It is the fifth collaboration between Lee and Washington and centres on a music mogul facing a dangerous moral crossroads after becoming the target of a ransom plot.

Whether you are a film buff or a bingo fanatic, this combination of a diverse range of films and a bingo challenge means that there is something for everyone to enjoy over the remaining summer weeks.

While the month may already be halfway over, there’s still time to join the competition, watch the remaining premieres, and complete the bingo cards. For those hoping to win, remember, each stamp must come from a different film. For those simply seeking a reason to visit the cinema more often this summer, A24 Summer bingo is exactly what you need.
