Bingo players in the Greater Manchester area have been enjoying the recently reopened BJ’s Bingo. The club in Leigh recently underwent a £3 million refurbishment and opened its doors to the public again on Friday, 26 April.

The venue is very much part of the community, having been hosting players for 22 years. The renovation aimed to provide a fresh new space to provide people with an enjoyable place to play bingo for years to come.

The BJ Bingo renovations took 10 months to complete and have resulted in two different experiences for players to choose from. There is a Bingo Lounge, which is a lively but relaxed place where people can play, talk to friends, and enjoy some food and drinks. It is designed for those who wish to talk and play at the same time.

Those who are more traditional and enjoy a quiet experience can play in the Bingo Hall. It will allow players to focus on the numbers without any distractions.

A Lavish Opening Party

The completed refurbishment was celebrated with a party on opening night. Attendees were greeted with a glass of bubbly and some chocolates. They were then treated to a live performance from Gamal John, of Britain’s Got Talent fame.

A number of special guests were in attendance, including Jo Platt, the Labour MP for Leigh and Atherton, who officially opened the new club. Speaking at the time, Platt said:

“£3 million pounds has been spent refurbishing the club — what a fantastic facility for Leigh. Securing jobs and giving the community a great place to meet and play.”

Andrew Tattershall, the general manager of BJ’s Bingo Leigh, added:

“We’re so proud to finally open the doors and show off the new club. We’ve created something really special here – a place for everyone, whether you’re after a quiet game or a fun night out with friends. It’s all about giving people in Leigh a great experience every time they visit.”

A Packed Events Schedule

There is a huge amount going on at BJ’s Bingo in Leigh. For instance, there are regular quiz nights that take place after the evening bingo session. The venue also hosts games with special prizes and sessions with special mystery prizes up for grabs. There are also live events and performances, which take place once the bingo has finished for the day.

Visitors will also be able to play for Big Jim’s Jackpot, which gets bigger every day and can be won in both the afternoon and evening sessions. Simply call a full house in 50 numbers or less on the gold page and the prize money is yours. All of the club’s bingo packages include Big Jim’s Jackpot, so you won’t need to spend more to have the chance of winning.

The club recently launched its Parti Extra Jackpot. Every Sunday, they add another £1,000 to the pot and increase the number of calls it can be won in. At the time of writing, the jackpot was worth £5,000 and could be won by calling house in 46 numbers or less.

Impressive Online Bingo

BJ’s is one of the UK’s trusted online bingo sites, giving players the chance to enjoy exciting games from the comfort of home. Members can enjoy a selection of games in rooms such as Pennies Make Pounds, On the House, Top of the Shop, and Mystery Jackpot. New members of the site are offered a 100% bingo bonus when they deposit £20 and 20 free spins on the HyperStrike slot. This means that if you aren’t able to visit the newly renovated BJ’s Bingo club in Leith, or visit one of the clubs in Birmingham and Reading.
