National Bingo Game Introduces £250,000 Jackpot

The National Bingo Game Launches £250,000 Jackpot

In exciting news for jackpot-seeking bingo players, the National Bingo Game has introduced a new £250,000 top prize. The prize went live on Thursday, 12 February, and it is now part of scheduled National Bingo Game sessions that can be joined at participating clubs across the UK.

The change only affects the top end of the prize structure. Players have long been able to win a £50,000 national jackpot by completing a full house within a set number of calls. Recently, a Glasgow Mecca Bingo player won the £50,000 jackpot, but now there is an even bigger prize up for grabs. The recent changes have lowered the threshold, and you can win the top bingo jackpot in 14 calls. This means that the £250,000 jackpot is won if a player marks off all numbers on their ticket within that limit. As has long been the case, if you win the National Bingo Game jackpot, you will also win the in-club prize for that session.

Two Chances to Win Every Day

The National Bingo Game is played twice every day at participating clubs, every day of the year except Christmas Day. Tickets for the games start from just £1, and the game is played for a full house only. In addition to the £250,000 jackpot won by achieving a full house in 14 calls or fewer, you can also win:

To mark the launch, the National Bingo Game ran a marketing campaign centred on luck and player rituals. The campaign was based on research that was commissioned by the organisation, which found that 38% of Brits say they own at least one lucky item. Three-quarters said they follow specific rituals they believe improve their luck, even though around half accept there is no logical reason behind them. The research found that common habits include touching wood after saying something positive (32%) and avoiding phrases such as “it’s going well” or “nothing could go wrong” to prevent tempting fate (27%).

The research also revealed the importance of numbers in perceptions of luck. Half of those surveyed said they have at least one lucky number they return to whenever possible, and it seems that seven is the most popular choice.

More Excitement than Ever Before

Miles Baron, Chief Executive at the National Bingo Game Association, said:

“Winning £250,000 in just 14 numbers is a game-changing moment for bingo, adding a new level of excitement to the same great game people know and love. At its heart, bingo is a game of chance, which is why it’s so accessible and widely enjoyed, and our lucky charms campaign celebrates that magic.”

The introduction of the bingo jackpot in 14 calls does not change how the game is played, so if you’re a regular player of the National Bingo Game, you don’t have to do anything differently. You still buy your tickets, mark off numbers as they are called, and aim to be the first to complete a full house.

So far in 2026, at least six people have won the previous top prize of £50,000. The winners were based right across the UK, including in Cardiff, Corby, Harlow, Bridgend, Blackpool, and Bilston. At the time of writing this article, no one had yet won the £250,000 jackpot. However, with two chances to win every day, it won’t be long until it does happen. If you’re planning a trip to the bingo hall in the near future, why not buy the National Bingo Game add-on? With a bit of luck, you could be the first to win this new mega-prize.
