Leah, 33, won the £39,520 Diamond Premiere Jackpot playing Mecca Bingo’s Emoji Bingo game. The mother of two, who has asked that her surname remain anonymous, explained that she likes to relax and enjoy some “me-time” playing at online bingo sites.
She said that on Friday, January 5, she had bought a 25p ticket for the Emoji Bingo game in advance and let it play automatically as she set about finishing some household tasks. When she heard the game end, Leah took a look at the computer screen and was surprised to see her username on the list of jackpot winners, meaning that she had achieved a full house. However, not only had she won the standard full house prize, but the bingo player won the £40K Premiere Jackpot.
In complete shock at her win, Leah picked up her two daughters, aged three and four, and started spinning around with them celebrating. The enormity of her win is yet to sink in and Leah is still not sure exactly what she will be doing with her winnings. However, she said that she will be buying some new Lego for her children and going out for a celebratory meal with her partner.
“I still can’t believe I’ve won. I had the game running in the background as I never in a million years thought I’d win the jackpot prize, but I did. When I saw my name on the screen I froze, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It’s been an incredible way to start the year and I can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family with a big holiday abroad. I can’t thank the Mecca Bingo team enough!”
