While Mecca Bingo may be well known to the vast majority of bingo players in the UK, it is still always working to attract new players. To that end, the company recently struck a deal to become the lead sponsor of the popular daytime television show on ITV, Loose Women.

Beginning this month, the deal is a huge coup for the bingo operator as Loose Women is ITV’s leading daytime panel show and attracts an estimated viewership of three million every day.

If you’re into the idea of online bingo with a TV show twist, check out more in the next paragraphs.

Extending the Existing Relationship

Prior to the announcement of the new deal, Mecca Bingo already had a relationship with the show. It has been Loose Women’s official bingo partner for eight months and as part of this, an exclusive Loose Women themed bingo game was launched on the Mecca Bingo website. Furthermore, the operator offers a Loose Women jackpot, giving its members additional chances to win large payouts. It also incorporates the ‘Bingo Bestie’ feature, which pairs players together in order to boost their chances of winning.

Speaking when the sponsorship deal was announced, Stewart MacKay, the Director of Acquisition at Mecca Bingo, said:

“We’re delighted to become headline sponsors of such an iconic show. Just like the Loose Women panellists, our customers love to keep up with current trends and news, so the opportunity to become headline sponsor was a natural progression from our existing partnership. The opportunities this new campaign presents will enable us to reach a significant UK audience and fans of the show across multiple touchpoints, including social channels.”

Deal Supported by IMA-HOME

The sponsorship deal is being supported by the marketing agency IMA-HOME, which has been charged with engaging viewers of Loose Women across all of ITV’s platforms, both online and offline.

The Managing Director of IMA-HOME, Alex Uprichard, said, “We’re confident the sponsorship will really get to the heart of what matters for Mecca’s audience by providing valuable opportunities for conversation and connection. The journey is just beginning.”

The deal was similarly welcomed by Sue Walton, an ITV Executive Producer, who said:

“We are delighted that Mecca will be Loose Women sponsors in 2024. The existing bingo partnership has brought the iconic Loose Women brand to Mecca Bingo’s online players, and the headline sponsorship is a great way of further cementing our relationship by enabling Mecca to reach our highly engaged audience.”

The Loose Women Bingo Game

Mecca Bingo Loose Women bingo gives players the chance to win a share of up to £180,000 a month. It is a 90-ball bingo game that features 1TG, 2TG, roll-on, and BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) games.

The room is open daily from 8 am to 11 pm and tickets start at just 5p. Most excitingly, the full house prize is worth up to £200 and players also have the chance to win the aforementioned Loose Women jackpot worth £500.

More about Loose Women

Loose Women was first aired back in 1999 and it has become one of Britain’s premier panel shows. It is hosted by four female presenters who interview various celebrities and discuss topics such as politics, current affairs, celebrity gossip, entertainment news and so on.

Over the years, there have been several presenters, panellists, and notable guests. The current line-up of presenters is Kaye Adams, Ruth Langsford, Christine Lampard, and Charlene White, while current panellists include Jane Moore, Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter, Stacey Solomon, and Dame Kelly Holmes.

Over the years, Loose Women has won a number of prizes and been nominated for several more. Most recently, in 2021, it won the Royal Television Society’s Best Daytime Programme award and was nominated for the National Television Award’s Daytime Programme Award.
