Listen to this article:The Club 3000 bingo venue at Greenock in Scotland is often called the luckiest in the country and it is certainly living up to its reputation with a lucky player hitting an incredible £50,000 jackpot at the beginning of January.
Amazingly, this is the fifth time that this huge jackpot has been won at the club in just two years. The jackpot is available to be won via the National Bingo Game and it was last won in Greenock in August 2023. The club has now paid out more than £2 million in the last twelve months alone, leading to Greenock being known as the “luckiest town” in Scotland.
As we mentioned a couple of months ago, when the Club 3000 Kilmarnock Jackpot was hit, it seems like Club 3000 venues are exceptionally fortunate.
The winner has chosen to remain anonymous, but staff at the bingo club said that they were “overjoyed” to have won and have been a regular player at the club for several years. Speaking about the winner, manager of the club Gerry Chisholm said:
“A new year and yet another new £50,000 jackpot for the club. This is now our fifth big jackpot win over the last couple of years and the fourth since I have been here; we certainly have a lucky streak in our club making it the luckiest club in the whole of Scotland. If you are feeling lucky it is the place to be and a great night out too!”
We’re only in the second week of 2024 and there have already been two £50,000 jackpot wins in Club 3000 venues. The first happened in Blackpool during the afternoon session on Tuesday, 2 January.
The Blackpool venue opened its doors in July 2023 following a £5 million renovation. The winner has asked to remain anonymous, but she is a 58-year-old from Fleetwood and well known at the club. She was reportedly overjoyed to have started the New Year with a huge win and Sean Connolly, the club’s manager, said:
“We were all so excited to celebrate the win alongside our winner. The atmosphere in the club was electric, everyone was so happy, we can’t wait for the party where they will officially receive the presentation cheque for £50,000! It is even more special as it is the first time that the Blackpool club has won the National Bingo Big Prize, since we opened in July last year. We absolutely love being part of the community in Blackpool.”
In 2023, there were nine £50,000 winners at Club 3000. Two of these were at the Greenock club and there were also wins at clubs in Coatbridge, Cwmbran, Kirkcaldy, Wigan, Manchester, Doncaster, Mansfield and Kilmarnock.
If you’d like the chance to win the £50,000 jackpot yourself, then the good news is that there are opportunities every day. It costs just £1 for a strip of two tickets to enter the National Bingo Game or £2 for each strip of five tickets.
If you call house in 24 numbers or less, you’ll win £100. Manage it in 20 numbers or less and you’ll win £1000, and if you can do it in 16 numbers or less, then the £50,000 is yours. You can take part in games right across the UK and not only in Club 3000 venues, so be sure to check with your local bingo club whoever operates it.
