If you’re based in Wiltshire, then you are in for a treat this October as Drag Bingo UK returns to Melksham following a sold-out visit to the venue earlier this year.
The show will be back on Friday 9 October, and this time there will be an 80s theme. Once again, the event will be hosted by Miss Demeanour, with bingo joined by live drag, comedy, music, prizes and plenty of audience participation. The event starts at 7:30pm at the Assembly Hall on Market Place and is for over-18s only.
Our guide to drag bingo covers everything you need to know about this fun-filled form of entertainment and why audiences across the UK have come to love it.
Anyone who went along to Drag Bingo UK’s previous Melksham show in June should have a good idea of what to expect. The earlier event combined bingo with drag performances, comedy, singalongs and prizes. This time, the basic format remains the same, but the whole evening will have an 80s makeover.
There will be 80s music throughout the evening, along with the usual bingo games and live entertainment. Dressing up is also expected so that you can expect plenty of neon, big hair and shoulder pads. There will even be a Best Dressed competition, so if you still have some suitably outrageous 80s clothing hidden away, you now have a good reason to bring it out.
Miss Demeanour will be leading the entertainment and keeping things moving between the bingo games, and you can be sure that she will demand audience interaction.
Remember, the last visit by Drag Bingo UK to Melksham Assembly Hall sold out, so anyone hoping to attend the October show should book sooner rather than later. Tickets are currently available from around ÂŁ27.
Seating is unreserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis, while the bar will also be open throughout the evening.
If you fancy an evening of bingo with a difference, then Drag Bingo UK could be just what you need. With an 80s theme added this time around, it should be an especially lively night at Melksham Assembly Hall.
