Looking back, the quartet of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad wore a range of fabulous outfits throughout their decade of hits, including over-the-knee boots, embellished bell-bottom trousers, silk capes, super-short tunic dresses, bobby-knitted tops, onesie suits, hot pants, and 1920s-style frilly gowns with feathered headdresses.
So there’s no shortage of options. One idea to find the perfect outfit from the 70’s disco era is to look through second hand shops.
Because many of these ABBA bingo events are held in university towns and cities, you’ll find many players who were too young to remember the band’s iconic Eurovision debut with “Waterloo” in 1974.
However, as their music continues to stand the test of time, everyone is familiar with many of their songs. Expect to hear all the super-group’s classics, including “Mama Mia”, “Gimmi! Gimmi! Gimmi!” and, especially for you bingo players, “The Winner Takes it All!” There are also a number of equally great 70s and 80s disco floor fillers thrown into the mix to keep the atmosphere pumping.
