When you think of bingo, you are unlikely to think of heavy metal as accompanying music. However, there is a crossover between the two and it has given rise to the game metal music bingo. In fact, there are two versions of the game, one that can be played at home and one that you can attempt to play at a heavy metal concert.

Metal Music Bingo at Home

We always strive to introduce easy and affordable ideas for home bingo nights. If you are hosting a bingo night and you are looking to make it stand out in some way, then this is an excellent option.

You may well have come across music bingo games before, all you have to do is adapt the bingo for heavy metal fans.

The games can be based on specific bands like Metallica, Slipknot, or they can relate to the genre in general: heavy metal, neo-metal, etc. Some people also like to incorporate elements of hard rock.

Essentially, you need to design a bingo card that features metal bands and songs. You can also find ready-made cards online if the idea of making your own sounds like too much work. Depending on what form of bingo you want to base the game upon (90-ball, 80-ball, etc.) there will be a different number of spaces on the cards. All you have to do, though, is settle on a card design, make a list of songs to be included in the game, and then distribute them amongst the cards.

The game itself is very simple. The bingo caller will play songs at random, and if that song is on your bingo card, you mark it off. The first player to mark off all the songs on their card wins the game.

Once you’ve created the game (or found one online), it is easy to play it in a number of different settings. You can play it at parties or even virtually with your friends. There is no need to offer any prizes, but it, of course, makes things more exciting if you do. You could ask participants to donate towards the prize so that there is truly something to play for. Of course, it is also hugely enjoyable just to play for fun and if you are playing online, then loads of people can join in. At the same time, it is a great excuse to listen to some of your favourite songs.

You could even find ways to award more players prizes. For example, in addition to offering a prize to the first player to complete the card, you could also offer second and third-place prizes.

In addition, make sure you have plenty of food and drink, as they will make a huge difference to the atmosphere.

Metal Music Bingo at a Gig

If you’re going to a heavy metal gig, you probably don’t want to be playing bingo while you are there. However, if it sounds like fun to you, then it is possible.

Once again it requires making your own bingo cards, but you can be more creative with the kind of things you put on it. For instance, you could have audience members wearing certain types of clothes, people on each other’s shoulders, the non-metalhead who has been dragged along by friends, and so on.

You can also include things such as items of clothing, or lack thereof. Alternatively, include things that the band might say, such as a reminder to those in the mosh pit to keep an eye on each other.

There are challenges involved with this game. Keeping track while listening to the music may not be easy and shouting “bingo” over the music and crowd will require some serious shouting. However, where there’s a will, there’s a way and heavy metal bingo fans are sure to find one.

Metal Music Bingo Online

Unfortunately, there do not seem to be any online bingo sites currently offering heavy metal music bingo. However, it is not impossible. Therefore, be sure to keep a close eye on our recommended bingo sites and who knows, one day you might be pleasantly surprised.
